What is Carbomer

Carbomer is a high molecular polymer of acrylic acid-bonded allyl sucrose or pentaerythritol allyl ether. Calculated according to the dry product, the carboxylic acid group (—COOH) should be 56.0% to 68.0%. Carbohydrate, also known as carbomer, is a cross-linked acrylic resin obtained by cross-linking with acrylic acid such as pentaerythritol. It is a significant rheology modifier. The neutralized carbomer is an excellent gel matrix. It has important uses such as thickening and suspension, simple process and good stability, and is widely used in lotions, creams and gels.

What is Carbomer

Carbomer series:

◎ Carbopol 940: Short rheology, high viscosity, high clarity, low ionic resistance and shear resistance, suitable for gels and creams.

◎ Carbopol 941: Long rheology, low viscosity, high clarity, moderate ionic resistance and shear resistance, suitable for gels and emulsions.

◎ Carbopol 934: Cross-linked polyacrylic resin, topical drug delivery system, stable at high viscosity, for concentrated gels, emulsions, and suspensions.

◎ Carbopol 1342: Cross-linked polyacrylic resin, topical delivery system, excellent rheology modifier in the presence of electrolytes, polymeric emulsification.

◎ Carbopol 980: Cross-linked polyacrylic resin, topical delivery system, crystalline clear gel, water or alcohol solvent.

◎ Carbopol ETD 2020: Acrylate/C10-30 alkyl acrylate cross-chain copolymer, long rheology, low viscosity, high clarity, high ion resistance and shear resistance, suitable for clear gels.

◎ Carbopol AQUA SF-1: Liquid, long rheology, can be formulated into clear formulations, has excellent compatibility with a variety of ingredients, acid-returning thickening, and can be used in surfactant systems.

◎ Carbopol Ultrez 21: Acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate cross-chain copolymer, short rheology, for gels, detergents, high electrolyte products, creams, lotions.

◎ Carbopol Ultrez 20: Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylates Cross-Chain Copolymer, Long Rheology, Shampoo, Shower Gel, Cream/Lotion, Electrolyte Skin Care, Hair Care Gel.

◎ Pemulen TR-1: Acrylate/C10-30 alkyl acrylate cross-chain copolymer, thickening emulsifier, short rheology, used in creams and lotions.

◎ Pemulen TR-2: Acrylate/C10-30 alkyl acrylate cross-chain copolymer, thickening emulsifier, long rheology, for emulsions.

Function:

◎ Can be used as an emulsifier

1. Not limited by HLB value and PlT

2. Can emulsify any liquid oil at room temperature

3. Emulsify waxes if the wax is melted during the manufacturing process

4. No re-emulsification when re-wetting, easy to prepare waterproof emulsion without the film-forming agent

5. Can be prepared: moisturizing creams, lotions, cleansers, sunscreen products, alcohol-free perfumes, fragrance hair conditioners (enhancing shine, easy to comb), hand washes, low-consistency sprayable emulsions and transparent microemulsions, etc.

◎ Used in skin care products

Hydrophilic thickener, stabilizing emulsifier, suspending agent, and gelling agent, with good transparency, it needs to maintain medium to weak alkaline to have consistency, so it cannot coexist with acid activating ingredients, in addition, Carbomer is also afraid of salts Therefore, it is impossible to add mineral ions, otherwise the consistency will disappear and it will be irritating to the eye mucous membrane. For high molecular weight polymers, the higher the number (eg Carbomer 940), the larger the polymer molecule.

Basic information of Collagen and Where you can buy Collagen CAS#9064-67-9?

Collagen   is the most abundant protein in the human body, making up about 30% of the body’s total protein content. It plays a crucial role in providing structure, strength, and elasticity to various tissues and organs, including the skin, bones, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, and even the cornea of the eyes. Types of Collagen There are at least 28 types of collagen, but the most common types are: Type I:  The most abundant form, found in skin, bones, tendons, and ligaments. Type II:  Found in cartilage and helps provide joint support. Type III:  Found in the skin, muscles, and blood vessels, often present alongside type I collagen. Type IV:  Found in the layers of the skin and the kidneys. Type V:  Found in the cornea of the eye, hair, and placenta. Structure of Collagen Collagen is made up of amino acids, primarily glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline. These amino acids form a triple-helix structure, which provides the tensile strength and...

How best to use the Hericium Erinaceus Capsule?

Hericium erinaceus, commonly known as lion’s mane mushroom, is a type of edible and medicinal mushroom with potential health benefits. Lion’s mane mushroom is often consumed in various forms, including capsules, powders, extracts, and as a whole food. If you have lion’s mane mushroom in capsule form ( Hericium erinaceus capsule ), here are some tips on how to use them effectively: Follow Dosage Instructions:  The dosage can vary depending on the concentration of the active ingredients in the capsules and individual factors such as age, weight, and health condition. Always follow the recommended dosage instructions provided on the product packaging or by a healthcare professional. Consistency is Key:  Like many supplements, lion’s mane may take time to produce noticeable effects. Consistent use over time is often more effective than sporadic usage. Stick to a regular dosing schedule to maximize the potential benefits. Take with Food:  It’s generally recommended to t...
